Hatter

Director Jason Michael Noel's short film Hatter premiered May 12, 2006 at the Coppola Theater in San Francisco State University's Fine Arts Building. The film, in which Jeff plays the fanciful title role, screened as part of the Senior Thesis Undergraduate Film Festival.

Jeff's scenes were filmed in 35mm on location in San Francisco's Presidio. He got to dress up in a great costume (purple top hat, multicolored coat and cravat, red wig and blue contacts), and if you've seen the Halloween character gallery, you know this is one of Jeff's favorite pastimes. The film is a modern take on Alice in Wonderland and stars Stephen Steelman as Allester and Cassie Powell as Hare.

Here are a few sneak-preview stills of Jeff as Hatter conversing with Hare. The last photo is Carl, the inimitable cigar-smoking stuffed koala, voiced by Peter Davy.
