Jeff took part as an actor in the 48-Hour Film Project, re-teaming with director Darwin Meiners and the team from Trick Knee Productions (producers of the indie feature Fairfield, Idaho). The completed seven-minute short, called "Like Lightning," screened at San Francisco's Roxie Theater on June 27. Watch the film, and read more about the project in Jeff's blog. The Santa Rosa Press Democrat wrote about the film in a July 7 article.
Jeff wrapped a supporting role in The Two Sisters, as an arrogant, rich frat-boy football player, and he was photographed in the Modesto Bee during the next-to-last day of filming.

Jeff was also cast in two upcoming indie features: in Eve, produced by Aisha Media, he's the supportive gay neighbor of the lead character, a survivor of domestic violence who is once again fearing for her safety; and in The Two Sisters, by TDA Entertainment, he'll play an arrogant, rich frat-boy on the football team. Both films begin production in June.

Jeff played one of the leads in the extremely creepy short film Animas, by director Stephanie Adams. "My character is reminiscent of the husband in Rosemary's Baby -- likeable at first, but as the film progresses his sinister motives emerge," Jeff says. "The script by Jimmy Mosqueda is really frightening." It was filmed on location at Stanford University, Jeff's alma mater.
Jeff starred as the lead in the darkly comedic short film Snake, as a man pushed to the breaking point in a waiting room; in a juicy supporting role as a stoner in Ashley Hudson's mockumentary I Love Rockets, about a community of people who follow rocket launches; and one of the leads in James Erd's short The Ice Box, as a guy who discovers an extremely odd, mystical vending machine in front of his apartment.
He also starred in a 35mm spec commercial for Ionic Breeze where he got to asphyxiate and collapse on camera, which is always fun. The spot was directed by Tommy Chan.

This month Jeff filmed a lead role in Mishka Kornai's short film Skin Deep, as a husband who freaks out when his new wife gets his name tattooed on her arm, and a featured role in David Hohl's indie horror feature In Search of Lovecraft, as a demon appearing in the guise of the star's ex-boyfriend. He also took on the equine-inflected role of Pony Silvertongue in his second collaboration with director Rachel Nichols, The Ballad of Shamble Hiss.
Jeff also filmed a lead role in Rey Godoy's tense short film A Beautiful Day, as a man who kidnaps a drunk driver in an act of revenge. Jeff also started taking the Foundation I improv class at Bay Area Theatresports.
